How to Create Competition in Anywhere Polling
This tutorial shows you how to create teams competition in Anywhere polling. If you want to create teams competition in PowerPoint polling, you can view this tutorial.
Part I: Creating Teams
- Click Start now in Anywhere Polling on the PointSolutions Dashboard.
- Click on the drop-down menu next to the Start button.
- Select Demographic Assignment (competition).
- Click the graph symbol to open the response window.
- When ready, click Triangle icon (open polling) and have students enter responses on their clicker to select their team.
- After all responses are recorded, click Square icon (close polling) to show the result of team selection.
Part II: Running a Competition
For polling questions, you can ask verbal questions with the option of polling on top of web pages, videos, documents or other applications.
- Click Triangle icon (open polling) to start recording answer choices for the first question, and Square icon (close polling) once all responses have been recorded.
- Select the correct answer choice by right-clicking its response bar and selecting the option to mark the answer x as correct.
- Repeat steps 1-3 until finished with competition.
Part III: Response Window Options
- Open the menu on the bottom of the response window.
- To show “Team Leader Board,” “Participant Leader Board,” or “Fast Responders,” click on the left-most icon.
- To change the display value settings, click the middle icon.
- To toggle answer values, click the right-most icon.
- To compare the current multiple choice results with a previous question, select the Compare with question drop-down menu.
Part IV: More Competition Preferences
To set more competition preferences, return to the PointSolutions Dashboard.
- Click the Gear icon in the bottom-right corner.
- Select the Anywhere category.
- Scroll to the Competitions section.
- Adjust settings to your preference.
