How to Schedule a Class TEAMS Meeting
You can do the online lecture or meeting in a live class Teams Meeting with your students. First, you schedule a live class Team meeting. Secondly, you share the Live Team Meeting link with your students in Blackboard or guest speakers.
Part I. Scheduling a Class Team Meeting
- Click Teams. Then, select your course.
- In a channel, click the arrow next to the video camera Meet icon at the upper right hand corner to see the options.
Note: if you only see the video camera icon, you need to maximize the screen to see the arrow icon. If you click the video camera icon, you will go to the Meet now directly. - Click Schedule a meeting.
- Enter a title (For example “Unit 1 Lecture”)
- In the “Added required attendees” field, you do NOT need to add students here. After scheduling the meeting, class teams students will receive the meeting invitation in their UH email.
- Set the start and end time
- If you want this meeting to repeat, click Does not repeat to select a way to repeat. Otherwise, keep the default setting “Do not repeat.”
- Click Send button to save the meeting.
Note: The scheduled meeting is automatically added into your Teams calendar. It also sends a meeting invite to students’ UH Outlook Inbox.
Part II. Sharing the Live Team Meeting link
If you want to share this meeting link in Blackboard or send it to the guest speakers, you use the following instructions.
- Click on the scheduled Live Meeting in the General channel > Posts chat.
- Scroll down to the end of the page, and right click the Click here to join the meeting link and select copy link.
- Paste the link in a Blackboard Announcement or send the link to your guest speakers. How to Create Announcements in Blackboard
