How to Interpret Turnitin Similarity Report – New

Turnitin checks student’s work against their database, and it flags instances where student’s writing is similar to, or matches one of the sources.  For an overview of the Similarity Report, watch the following video:

 

To access Similarity Report in your course:

  1. Click on the assignment link.
  2. In the ”Assignment Inbox” page, under the Similarity column, click on the percentage to bring up the similarity report in the side panel.
  3. Click on the number to bring up the matches.
  4. Click on each match to view the details.
