In the past, there has been some confusion and inconvenience related to setting up Canvas exams that were proctored in the CASA Testing Centers. Moving forward, you can use the following guidelines to simplify the exam setup.
- You must contact Minh Nguyen and Samantha Stark to schedule an exam held at CASA Testing centers.
- You no longer need to have a placeholder exam for the future exams.
Important Note: Existing exams already posted in the CASA scheduler before Oct 11, 2024, should not be modified or deleted. To verify if your exams are in the CASA scheduler, you can check this link file. - You must have a “CASA Scheduling” link on the Canvas Course Navigation for students to reserve the exam seats. The reservation will be open to students 2 weeks before the exam starts.
Tutorial: How to Add a Custom Link to Course Navigation – Instruction @ UH - You are free to delete, rename, overwrite, or copy exams in Canvas before the first day of the exam, and it will not affect your CASA scheduling.
- You must setup the exam completely at least 1 week before the first day of the exam.
Note: Your College IDs will check if the exam is setup correctly and notify you for any issues. - You must deploy Respondus Lockdown Browser and enter all CASA IP filters on the exam settings.
